Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 October 2026 · Last updated: 16 October 2026
Applies to the KODY Blocks mobile game for Android and iOS (app id com.kodygames.kodyblocks) and this website.
1. Who we are (data controller)
KODY Blocks is published by Hassan Magdy Omar Salem ("KODY Games", "we", "us"), Cairo, Egypt, which is the data controller for the processing described here. Privacy contact: kodygames2026@gmail.com.
2. The short version
- No account and no login. The game never asks for your name, email, phone number, photos, contacts or precise location.
- The game is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads use device identifiers and similar data only as your choices allow: Google's consent message where the law requires one (EEA, UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws), and Apple's tracking permission on iPhone.
- Your scores, settings and progress stay on your device.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time (section 8).
3. What data is involved
| Data | Collected by | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Best score, progress, settings, ad-frequency counters and play-time counters (used to limit ads) | The app | Stays on your device only. Never sent to us. |
| Advertising ID (Android) / IDFA (iOS, only if you allow tracking), app-set ID / IDFV | Google AdMob SDK | Google and, with consent, its ad partners |
| IP address and coarse (approximate) location derived from it | Google AdMob, Google UMP, Firebase (planned) | |
| Device and app info (model, OS, language, app version), ad interactions (impressions, clicks, rewards earned) | Google AdMob | Google and its ad partners |
| Your consent choices (IAB TCF / US privacy strings) | Google UMP | Stored on your device; sent with ad requests |
| Game events, crash and performance diagnostics, app instance ID (planned) | Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics / Remote Config | Google (Firebase) |
We do not collect financial information, health data, contacts, messages, photos, audio, or precise location. There are no in-app purchases today; if we add them, payments are handled by Google Play / the App Store and this policy will be updated.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob, UMP, Apple ATT)
We use Google AdMob to show a banner at the bottom of the screen (outside the play area), interstitial ads only between games (never during play or while the game is paused, and capped per day), and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch (for example to revive). Google and its partners use the data above to deliver, cap and measure ads, to prevent fraud and, only with your consent, to personalize ads.
Ads in KODY Blocks are filtered to content suitable for teens (Google rating "T" or lower).

5. Analytics and remote configuration (planned)
To understand how the game is played, fix crashes and tune settings such as ad limits, we plan to use Google Firebase: Analytics (app usage events, e.g. game started/ended, score, ad shown), Crashlytics (crash reports) and Remote Config (downloads game settings; uses a Firebase installation ID). These collect an app instance ID, device information and approximate location, and respect your consent choices: in regions that require consent, analytics storage is off unless you agree. We will update this section and its effective date when these services go live.
6. Purposes and legal bases (EEA / UK / Switzerland)
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Personalized ads; storing/accessing information on your device for ads | Identifiers, IP / approx. location, ad interactions | Your consent (you can withdraw it any time) |
| Non-personalized / limited ads, frequency capping, fraud prevention, ad measurement | Same, minimized | Legitimate interests (keeping the game free and safe), or consent where the law requires it |
| Running the game, saving progress, limiting how many ads you see | On-device data only | Performance of our service |
| Analytics, crash reporting, remote settings (planned) | Usage and diagnostic data | Consent (analytics) / legitimate interests (crash fixing, configuration) |
7. Who we share data with
The game itself sends no personal data to KODY Games servers (we do not run any). Data is collected directly by Google (AdMob, UMP, Firebase) and, where you consent, by Google's certified ad technology partners, under their own privacy policies and contractual obligations that require protection at least equivalent to this policy. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information for money; under some US state laws, using identifiers for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising may be considered "selling" or "sharing", and you can opt out as described below.
8. Your choices and how to opt out
- In-game Privacy options: in regions where Google's consent message is required, tap the pause button (the "PAUSED" panel that holds the game settings) → Privacy options to review or withdraw consent, or to opt out of personalized ads / "sale or sharing" at any time. The game re-requests ads with your new choice immediately.
- iPhone (ATT): the game first explains why it asks, then iOS asks whether KODY Blocks may track you. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not shared and you still get ads. Change it any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads). Deleting it stops personalized ads based on it.
- Stop all collection: uninstall the app.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example GDPR/UK GDPR, US state privacy laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA, Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising, "sale" or "sharing". We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Email kodygames2026@gmail.com; we answer within 30 days (45 days where US law allows). In the EEA/UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Retention and deletion
- On-device data is kept until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app, which deletes it immediately.
- KODY Blocks has no accounts, so there is no account to delete and we hold no profile about you.
- Data collected by Google is kept under Google's retention policies (see How Google retains data). Firebase Analytics data, when enabled, will be kept for at most 2 months (Firebase data-retention setting).
- To request deletion of data held by our ad/analytics providers, email us (subject "Data deletion – KODY Blocks"). Because we do not know who you are, include your platform and, if possible, your advertising ID; we will forward the request to the providers concerned.
11. Children
KODY Blocks is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of Google Play's Families program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help delete it.
12. Security and international transfers
Data sent by the SDKs is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Google may process data in countries other than yours (including the United States) using safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
13. Changes
We will post any update on this page and change the effective date. Material changes will also be announced in the app's store listing notes.
